Objectives : This study aims to provide basic data for preparing interventions for occupational participation by examining the degree of time use and occupational balance for the schizophrenic client, and by grasping the work performance and participation level.
Methods : The study was conducted at a private center visited by clients one-on-one for 10 weeks for 40 minutes once a week from September 1, 2020. Analyzed for use. In addition, data on occupational performance and satisfaction were collected using the Canadian Occupational Performance Measure (COPM), and based on this, a client-centered occupational therapy intervention was conducted.
Results : As for the client s daily work and time use, personal retention was 48.3%, daily 29.2%, and family management and family and household member care were 8.3%, respectively, and performance and satisfaction through COPM improved after client-centered occupational therapy intervention.
Conclusion : It is thought that more studies should be conducted in order to more closely grasp the time use and work balance of schizophrenia clients, and to actively utilize participatory interventions based on work goals for schizophrenia clients.
